Bermuda Bell Diving
Bermuda Bell Diving is a fun, easy way to explore the wonders beneath the sea. Imagine walking underwater, moving along a sandy pathway surrounded by dazzling coral reefs as multi-coloured fish glide silently by. Hand-feed the friendly fish as your guide leads you along a sandy pathway bounded by dazzling coral reefs. No swimming ability is needed. Glasses or contact lenses can be worn as the helmets are big and spacious. If you get an itch, reach right inside and give it a scratch! It is definitely a trip you won’t forget.
The experience begins as you board the Cameron, a 40 ft. Admirals launch. On the ride out the Captain gives a short briefing on dive safety and the 'do’s and don’ts' of helmet diving. Arriving at one of the shallow ocean sites, you are fitted with a dive helmet and helped down a 7-8 step ladder to the underwater world. The 25-30 minute underwater walking tour through the warm undersea gardens begins. Digital photos or video are available. Every minute, from the moment you step on the ladder to your return to the boat, will be filmed. Once back onboard you can relive your experience watching yourself on video! You can purchase pictures or the video before you leave the boat, which adds to the take home value.
The entire tour lasts between 2-1/2 to 3 hours, with each dive 25-30 minutes long. Each dive group consists of around 6 or 7 people.
The boat has a large shaded area, cabin, sun deck, full bathroom and changing room with shower on board. Bathing Suits, towel, sun screen and hats are recommended. Cold sodas are also available.
Participants must be at least 8 years of age and accompanied by an adult. A medical questionnaire and liability release form must be completed.
Wet suits and hot drinks are provided when the water temperature is below 80 degrees.
