Riddell's Bay Golf And Country Club

Visitors wishing to play at this Bermuda golf course should note that the club is private and introduction by a member or hotel is required.

Built in 1922 and designed by Deveraux Emmett, Riddell’s Bay is Bermuda’s oldest golf course. Emmett also designed the renowned Congressional Country Club in Washington DC; the host of the 1997 US Open.

The course, recently revamped by golf architect Ed Beidel, sits on a narrow peninsula, measuring only 600 yards at its widest point. The first hole, a dogleg par 4, is arguably the most difficult opener on any of Bermuda’s golf courses.

The closing hole provides a view of the recently refurbished, 150 year old clubhouse. Originally a farmhouse, the clubhouse is a classic example of Bermudian architecture and has locker rooms, a restaurant and bar.

Weekends and public holidays are reserved for members.

Proper golf attire and soft-spiked golf shoes are mandatory.
