Picturesque
Roland Skinner is one of Bermuda’s premier photographers. His work brilliantly captures the beauty of the island's architecture, landscapes and flora and is immortalised in his books Picturesque Bermuda I & II.
Picturesque is a Front Street gallery showcasing Skinner’s portfolio. Archival prints of all his works are available in various sizes. For those who don’t wish to risk damaging the prints in their luggage they offer a direct mail service. The customer makes his or her choice and their film processor in the US sends it on by courier.
The pictures on his website don’t come anywhere close to doing the genuine articles justice (trust us; we have 3 hanging on our wall). Those on the Bermuda Professional Photographers Association website are a little nearer to the real thing.
In addition to the Hamilton location, he also has a gallery in the Clocktower Mall at Royal Naval Dockyard. It’s open 7 days a week.
