Victoria Park
Situated behind the City Hall & Arts Centre, the most notable feature of this small city centre park is its band stand. Erected in the late 19th century to commemorate the golden jubilee of Queen Victoria, it’s now the setting for Sunday evening summer concerts.
Sponsored by the Bank of Butterfield and the Corporation of Hamilton, the Concerts in the Park have been running every summer since 1992. Each concert has a different theme and typically features around five local and international artists. For example, a jazz concert is held the weekend of the Bermuda Jazz Festival.
The concerts are free and visitors are welcome to bring food and wine and enjoy a picnic whilst listening to the music. The concerts start at 18:00 and finish at 21:00. Victoria Park has public restrooms.
