Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences
The Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences is an internationally renowned nonprofit marine research and educational institution founded in 1903. BIOS takes advantage of Bermuda's ideal mid-Atlantic location for studies of coral reefs, fisheries, ecotoxicology, pollution and environmental quality, ocean and human health, ocean genomics, marine biodiversity and global climate change. BIOS's marine science programs attract faculty, visiting scientists, staff and students from around the globe.
