Chatham House
Cuba was voted the best island in the Caribbean and surrounding regions in 2003 by Travel & Leisure magazine (Bermuda was second). Unfortunately, the US embargo prevents American cigar aficionados from travelling south. However, no such rules apply in Bermuda and Chatham House is the place to come to buy authentic Cuban cigars.
Founded in 1895, Chatham House has been around longer than Fidel himself. Manager Charles Pitt has stuffed his humidors full of top quality Cuban brands such as Punch, Partagas, Romeo y Julieta, Bolivar, Cohiba, Hoyo de Monterrey and of course, Montecristo. He also sells other smoking paraphernalia such as Briar and Meerschaum pipes and Dunhill lighters and other goods such as Swiss Army knives, Outerbridge's sauces, postcards, sweets and sunglasses.
