Renegades Rugby Football Club

Renegades Rugby Football Club is one of the most successful rugby clubs in Bermuda with over one hundred active members. The club runs a full first and second team squad and also a schools/youth team. They welcome players of any age and ability and those visiting the island who are looking for a game.

Although the membership of the club is in the main expats the club is tied to the Western Stars Sports Club – the home of Dandy Town FC and Western Stars CC. Through this association the club has developed a floodlit training facility at their St Johns Road site, has expanded its links with the local community, extended its youth program, and gained access to the clubhouse with its subsidised drink prices.

During the summer Renegades runs a non-contact corporate tag rugby competition with men’s, women’s, and mixed divisions.

The club has an extremely active social calendar. Events include a hosted tent at the World Rugby Classic, the first booze cruise of the summer, an annual summer pool party, and a golf day. However perhaps the highlight of the year is their annual dinner at which former Irish and British Lions representatives Mick Galwey and Peter ‘The Claw’ Clohessy have attended and spoken.

Also worth mentioning is the Christmas get-to-together 'Christmas Shopping'– an ironic name as it has nothing to do with shopping and even less to do with Christmas.

If you are interested in playing or touring or just having a drink with the Renegades lads you can contact the clubs officers by email.
