Bermuda Under 35s Insurance and Reinsurance Group
The Bermuda Under 35s Insurance & Reinsurance Group was founded in May 2004. As a non-profit group, the Bermuda Under 35s relies on a 10-person committee consisting of 5 principal officers and 5 general members.
The primary aims of the committee are to organise and arrange informal lectures, workshops, sporting events, and support global insurance and reinsurance educational trips similar to the London based Under 35s Group. A social meeting to enable networking opportunities follows many of their events.
It must be stressed that whilst their focus is on the further development and knowledge of professionals in their mid-20s to mid-30s, the Bermuda Under 35s welcomes all members of the insurance, reinsurance and interrelated industries to their social events.
Bermuda Under 35s works alongside the London Under 35s Reinsurance Group, originally formed in London in 1972. It is their intent to gain as much support and assistance, and to work alongside, the various committees and organizations already founded in Bermuda. Most notably but not exclusively the Bermuda Insurance Institute, Bermuda Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers Association and Bermuda Underwriters Association.
