Bermuda Weather - May
The average sea surface temperature jumps to 73 F (from 68 F in April), prompting Bermudians to take their first swim of the year.
Air temperature rises too. The average daily high is now 74 F and daily low just 67 F.
The first signs of the summer see the start of Habour Nights and Summer Sundays in the Park. Bermuda Day, towards the end of the month, is regarded by most locals as the first day of the summer season.
May also heralds the start of Bermuda’s cruise ship season.
