9 Beaches

Note: 9 Beaches is currently undergoing an $80 million redevelopment. It is scheduled to reopen in May 2011.

9 Beaches is a casual, eco-friendly resort situated at Daniel’s Head, on the western tip of Bermuda. Spread over 18 waterfront acres it features 84 private soft-sided cabanas, each resting on stilts and offering spectacular ocean views.

9 Beaches Resort BermudaEach cabana boasts a wooden deck floor, air conditioning, bathroom, and a water-facing veranda. Some of the cabanas are built over the water and are connected to the land by a boardwalk. An additional feature found at this class is a small floor window that allows viewing of the tropical fish swimming below.

The resort’s main restaurant Hi-Tide is open for breakfast and dinner and offers an international menu while Dark ‘n Stormy’s Beach Bar and Grill offers beverages and light cuisine for lunch. 9 Beaches also offers a roving dining car that delivers snacks, meals, and drinks throughout the resort. Simply call the A La Carte service on the free cell phone provided, and your order is brought straight to you.

Facilities here include several private beaches, an all-weather tennis court, watersports centre, swimming pool, playground, and gym. 9 Beaches also offers a guest lounge with TV and complementary internet access.

Attractions nearby include the Royal Naval Dockyard (Bermuda Maritime Museum, Dolphin Quest etc.), Somerset Bridge, and Scaur Hill Fort. Hamilton can be reached by bus or ferry in about 40 minutes.
