Pompano Beach Club
Pompano Beach Club is a family-owned Bermuda resort that started out in life as a fishing club. After going out fishing, its members would return to the club and cook their fish. A restaurant was subsequently built, followed by a hotel that has gradually developed into the 74-room facility it is today.
The hotel still maintains its aquatic roots. Pompano Beach Club boasts a private beach with shallow sandbar. At low tide, visitors can wade out nearly 300 yards in warm waters that do not rise above chest height. There is also a heated pool, a children’s pool and 3 outdoor Jacuzzis. Guests are also offered complimentary tackle and bait for shore fishing from the hotel’s private dock. There is a watersports centre on the beach where guests can rent a variety of equipment including windsurfing boards, sailboats and ocean kayaks. Snorkel equipment and sea scooters can be hired for tireless exploration of the nearby reefs.
The hotel's fitness centre has a good selection of cardiovascular equipment and weights and its spectacular ocean views make exercise considerably less tedious. Guests can also play table tennis, air hockey and table football in the games room. The hotel also offers a clay tennis court and provides complimentary rackets and balls.
The hotel is adjacent to the world-famous Port Royal Golf Course and guests can book tee times when making their hotel reservation. They also offer year-round golf packages and will gladly ferry your clubs to and from the course free of charge.
Pompano Beach Club has several classes of accommodation with differing rates. All rooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning, small refrigerator, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, telephone, clock radio, safe and cable TV.
5-course meals are served in the evening in the hotel’s Cedar Room. The dress code is smart casual – men are not required to wear jackets but collared shirts are a must and jeans and t-shirts are not allowed. The menu changes daily but guests requiring a change of scenery can take advantage of the hotel’s dine-around program. Provided space is available, visitors can take dinner at restaurants at other hotels (Cambridge Beaches and The Reefs).
The Pool Bar is open daily and serves lunch including gourmet salads, deli-sandwiches and nachos. A cocktail bar hosts evening entertainment, such as live steel bands, throughout the summer months.
Visitors can rent a scooter at the hotel. Guests wishing to use public transport are offered complimentary transport to and from the bus stop at the hotel’s entrance. From here guests can easily reach Royal Naval Dockyard and Hamilton. The hotel also provides complimentary transport to the ferry stop at Rockaway where guests can take the aquatic route to Hamilton.

The beach is a little bit on the small side but the water is beautiful. Food in the restaurant is excellent.
