Bistro J

Located on Chancery Lane, a quaint and narrow passageway off Front Street, this small bistro is a welcome addition to Bermuda’s culinary scene. With its split brick and washed walls, a dash of greenery here and there, Bistro J has a homely, rustic atmosphere reminiscent of the Mediterranean.

Bistro J is small but not cramped and has 10 or so tables seating between 2 and 4 persons. Sit at a table on the left and you make think that your fellow diners are giving you some unwelcome attention. Don’t worry though, they’re probably not. Bistro J attracts a sophisticated crowd and they’re simply selecting from the chalk board menu which hangs on the wall above you. The menu changes daily and reflects an earnest desire to bring the freshest produce available at market to the table. Puddings are tempting and have won the Best Decadent Desert Award from the Bermudian magazine. The kitchen is shared with sister restaurant, the Port O’ Call.

Bistro J has an award winning wine list with all available by the glass. After dinner you can head round the corner and finish the evening at Square One.

They always have a fabulous menu and are reasonably priced. It shares the same kitchen as Port O'Call restaurant but the prices tend to be far more reasonable. They always have a good wine list and service is simply superb. What more could you ask for??!!
(well maybe one thing and that would be the molten chocolate cake for dessert!!)

We found this little restaurant by chance while wandering around Hamilton. Had a nice lunch there and would definately recommend it.
