Palms Restaurant & Bar
Savvy locals may be in the know about this hidden gem, but visitors would be hard pressed to stumble upon it. Set within the Surf Side Beach Club hotel, this restaurant is one of Bermuda’s best kept secrets.
The restaurant itself is an intimate affair with around 10 tables. Its lofty tray ceiling is a classic example of Bermudian architecture. However, the cool breeze from the open French doors will inevitably beckon you outside. Here a terrace rings the hotel’s pool and offers breathtaking views of the ocean below. Flickering lights, the smell of the ocean breeze and the sound of crashing waves set the perfect scenario for a romantic meal.
Start with a Soft Spring Roll served in a tasty plum sauce or perhaps a Fantail Shrimp Cocktail. For a main course there’s the Thyme and Rosemary Crusted Rack of Lamb or the Palms Signature Rockfish. The wine list is small, but well-thought, with a handful also available by the glass.
The Palms, with its fantastic backdrop, makes a great location for a wedding reception and can accommodate 30 inside and 60 on the terrace.
The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Dinner reservations are recommended.
