Rustico Restaurant & Pizzeria
Rustico Restaurant is within walking distance of Bermuda’s most popular tourist spot, the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo, and is popular with visitors to the attraction. In fact it was a trip to the aquarium with his children, and the lack of a decent family restaurant in the area, which prompted owner Odilio Angeli to open Rustico in 2001.
Odilio, who also owns the Ristorante Primavera, came to Bermuda nearly 2 decades ago and is originally from Lake Como in Italy. In addition to Italian dishes such as Linguini and Fettucine, Bermudian favourites such as Fish Chowder are sprinkled around the menu. Rustico also offers an extensive wine list not normally expected in a restaurant of this size.
The interior of the restaurant, with its red and yellow hues, is reminiscent of the Mediterranean. Outside the terrace offers views of Flatts Inlet. Rustico takes full advantage of its location and many of the fish served are purchased straight from the local captains. Be sure to bring your camera; it’s one of the most photographed spots in Bermuda.
