Speciality Inn

What’s the purpose of a restaurant? Some believe they are for posing in, some believe their purpose is to entertain. At the Speciality Inn their mission is to feed you. Despite having served former US President Jimmy Carter and Clint Eastwood, this neighbourhood diner has no illusions of grandeur.

The Speciality Inn is a family-run establishment more popular with locals than tourists and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located on the South Road at Collector’s Hill it’s an ideal spot for a quick and cheap bite to eat when travelling to or from St George, the Crystal Caves or any other attractions on the eastern side of Bermuda.

The varied menu has something to suit all palates and offers proof that a second mortgage is not required to enjoy decent food in Bermuda. There are several salads and a variety of sandwiches (Tuna, BLT, Meatball Sub etc.) and hamburgers. The Speciality Inn offers 19 different pizzas and there’s also calzoni and stromboli dishes. Somewhat surprisingly, the Speciality Inn also has a sushi bar. Tempura dishes include Soft-shelled Crab and there’s also sashimi, maki-mono, nigiri and temaki with a variety of ingredients available.

No reservations are required and a take-out service is available.
