Bermuda Wedding Locations
Wedding Ceremony
With more churches per square mile than any other country in the world there is no shortage of religious marriage venues. Couples wanting a civil Bermuda wedding ceremony can tie the knot in the Registry’s marriage room. Ministers will conduct both non-denominational and religious ceremonies in outdoor locations.
Bermuda’s laws allow weddings in its beautiful public spaces. Popular venues include Astwood Park with its spectacular ocean views, on the pink sands of Bermuda’s beaches or in the grounds of a historic property such as Waterville. Hotels such as the Fairmont Southampton and Ariel Sands are also favourites. More unusual locations include boats, Fort St Catherine or even on the Deliverance. Provided the wedding party is small, Sir David Gibbons will also allow ceremonies on his private property; Palm Grove Gardens.
After the ceremony, the newly married couple usually pose for a few photographs before departing for the reception. There are no car rentals in Bermuda so, if motorised transport is required, taxis are the only option. However, many couples choose to follow Bermudian tradition and travel by horse and carriage.
