Reinsurance and Insurance Jobs

Reinsurance and insurance companies account for the bulk of Bermuda’s international business sector, with many of the world’s biggest companies based here (ACE, XL Capital, PartnerRe etc.).

Bermuda is also the birthplace of the captive insurance company and the domicile of choice for around 1,000 captive insurance companies, more than anywhere else in the world.

Jobs in the insurance sector are amongst the most sought after positions in Bermuda, attracting the best pay, and in many cases, additional benefits such as generous housing allowances.

Job openings exist in Bermuda for actuaries, underwriters, and brokers. Requirements usually include extensive experience in a major insurance/reinsurance market and for actuarial jobs membership of a recognised professional body (Society of Actuaries, Institute of Actuaries etc.).

Vacancies also exist in most insurance companies for accountants, analysts, lawyers, IT and other support staff.
