Brightside Guest Apartments is an elegant family-owned and managed property situated in Flatts Village. It overlooks Flatts Inlet, a sheltered harbour and one of the most picturesque and photographed areas of Bermuda.
Various apartments are offered, ranging from studios suitable for 1 or 2 persons to a 3-bedroom cottage that can accommodate up to 8. Nightly rates are amongst the cheapest found in Bermuda. Attractive weekly and monthly deals are available for long-term visitors.
All apartments come with air conditioning, ceiling fans, cable TV, wireless internet access, private bathroom and telephone. As with most accommodations of this type, no meals are provided. However, all the units have, at a minimum, a refrigerator and microwave.
Walk for just a few minutes over Flatts Bridge, pausing to gaze down at the tidal waters flowing between the Inlet and Harrington Sound, and you will come to Bermuda’s most popular tourist attraction; the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo.
Shelly Bay is the closest beach and is around 1 mile from the apartments. Those in need of a more immediate dip can use the property’s large swimming pool. It’s surrounded by a large sun terrace and a more than adequate supply of sun loungers.
Belvin’s Variety is a small grocery just a short walk from the property. It’s open every day of the week from 6 am until midnight. The Shelly Bay MarketPlace and Harrington Hundreds offer greater choice but you’ll need transport to reach them. Restaurants and food outlets in the vicinity include Rustico, Indigo, and Four Star Pizza.
Bus routes 3, 10, and 11 pass through Flatts offering easy access to Hamilton and St George. The apartments are just 5 miles from the airport.
These apartments are a little dated. However, the location is superb. Flatts Village has got to be one of the most beautiful spots in Bermuda. The aquarium is just a few minutes walk away and there’s a beautiful dock here where you can just sit and chill out.
