Are there any alcohol regulations on a cruise ship?

In accordance with drinking laws in the United States, passengers on NCL, Princess and Royal Caribbean cruise ships must be 21 or over to buy or drink alcohol on board a cruise ship. However, on the NCL cruise ships visiting Bermuda, passengers aged 18 to 20 can consume alcoholic beverages, provided a parent/legal guardian sailing with them signs a waiver.

In Bermuda, the legal age for drinking is 18.

Royal Caribbean does not allow passengers to bring alcoholic beverages onto its ships. Alcohol purchased in ports will be kept and delivered to staterooms on the last day of the cruise.

NCL and Princess (limit 1 bottle per person) allow passengers to take wine onboard their ships. This must be declared to security on boarding the ship. A corkage fee of $15 per bottle is payable. After payment the bottles are marked and can be taken into the restaurants.
