Mobile Phones
All North American phones should work well in Bermuda. Visitors from Europe will need a tri-band phone.
Bermuda has two local mobile phone operators; Digicel and CellOne. Both have roaming agreements with all major mobile network operators. Once visitors switch their phones on in Bermuda they should have no problem connecting.
Standard roaming charging are expensive but most of the major carriers offer global data, calling, and messaging packages. Check your operator’s website for details.
Visitors staying for extended periods may find it cheaper to purchase a local SIM card. The main CellOne store is situated on Church Street in Hamilton (opposite City Hall). Digicel have a store close by in the Washington Mall.

Bermuda is one of the few countries in the world that has the traditional British red telephone boxes, designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott.
With the widespread adoption of mobile phones in recent years their relevance has somewhat declined.
