Remembrance Day Ceremony
Every year on November 11 the people of Bermuda remember the dead and surviving veterans of World Wars I and II. Remembrance Day is a public holiday in Bermuda and the ceremony held to commemorate it usually draws a large crowd of both locals and visitors.
Just before 11 am, a parade, composed of an ever decreasing number of war veterans, the Bermuda Regiment Band and others, makes its way along Front St to the Cenotaph. After inspecting the veterans, the Governor, followed by the Premier and other dignitaries, lays a wreath at the base of the Cenotaph.
