Operational Risk Manager

Job Description:

Our client is looking for an experienced Operational Risk Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying risks in the Bank’s processes and to recommend solutions to alleviate these risk areas. The candidate must be able to liaise with bank personnel of all levels. Key responsibilities are:-

• Performing risk assessment reports on the bank’s processes
• Work with all Department heads and overseas subsidiaries to ensure the Bank’s Risk Management framework is satisfactory and understand the implications of the impending Basel Capital Accord.
• Ensure recommendations made are implemented.
• Perform an ongoing review of the Bank’s Risk Capital Allocation Model.
• Perform an ongoing review of International Regulations and their impact on the Bank’s Risk Management.

Requirements:

• A business related degree.
• Banking experience preferably in a similar role.
• Superior analytical skills.
• Superb communication skills both verbal and written.
• Superb interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Corporate Administrator

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced corporate administrator to join this large Bermuda-based company.

Job Description:

Duties include:

• Administering a portfolio of client companies, ensuring compliance with trust deeds, articles of association, regulatory authorities, and company law
• Arranging shareholder meetings and preparing notices, minutes etc.
• Filing annual returns and ensuring fees are paid

Requirements:

• Educated to degree level and 2 years’ experience as a corporate administrator, or membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
• Computer literacy and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Good organisational skills

Financial Controller – Corporate Banking Division

Job Description:

The candidate will be expected to take a lead role in the financial planning activities, financial reporting, budgetary analysis, and other general research activities in the Retail and Corporate Banking Division of the company.

Core responsibilities include:-

• Planning for and preparing quarterly and annual financial forecasts.
• Performing a review of actual performance against forecasted on a monthly basis and providing corrective action proposals.
• Review and control of Income and Expenditure items and actively provide suggestions for corrective action to VP’s and SVP’s.
• Timely preparation of required regulatory reports.
• Liaise with auditors (internal & external).
• Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by senior management.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, plus financial services experience.
• A Professional Accounting Qualification.
• Knowledge of bank services and products.
• Research/Presentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and accounting applications.
