.NET Software Developer – Bermuda

Technical requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of professional .NET development experience with preference given to candidates with experience in the financial services industry or with prior experience working for a software development consulting firm
- Solid object oriented programming background including experience with as many as possible of VB.NET, C#, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, Web Services, WPF, WCF, MVC
- SQL Server 2005 database development and administration experience
- Proven experience and knowledge of industry best practices and procedures throughout the entire SDLC
- Relevant Microsoft certification would be an asset (such as MCTS, MCPD, MCAD, MCSD, MCP)
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field preferred

Chief Technology Officer / IT Manager – Bermuda

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior IT Professional with a strong software development background to join the fast paced trading environment of a global hedge fund based in Bermuda.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and support of all internal applications, working directly with the front and back office in a RAD environment. In addition, they will be responsible for managing and developing the IT infrastructure and will manage and maintain relationships with third party vendors and service providers.

Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of related senior level experience within a hedge fund, bank or financial institution environment.
- A relevant post secondary degree
- Demonstrated experience working autonomously while managing an IT infrastructure
- Certifications in Microsoft .NET development and SQL 2005/2008 would be an asset.

Technical experience in as many as possible of the following:
- Maintenance of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) within Excel
- Maintenance and debugging of legacy PHP code
- MS SQL Server experience including design, development, installation and maintenance
- Microsoft .NET Framework and C#/VB.NET development (Visual Studio 2008 onwards would be ideal)
- Experience with Bloomberg and the Bloomberg API – experience with other real time market data feeds would be a plus

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst with reinsurance industry experience to join our client’s team in Bermuda. Reporting directly to the CIO of this international reinsurance organization, the successful candidate will be tasked with the design and delivery of solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity across the organization.

This position requires an in-depth knowledge of reinsurance underwriting and catastrophe modeling. Our client is seeking an individual with a strong understanding of reinsurance underwriting workflow and proven experience in managing process improvements in a reinsurance environment.

Responsibilities include:- Providing support to the business areas of Underwriting, Analysis and Actuarial
- Develop an in-depth understanding and document business requirements, work and process flows, translate them into requirements documents, functional specifications, test scenarios and plans
- Facilitate user meetings, design sessions and user testing

- Support project deployment activities, including product training and the writing of user documentation
