Senior Trust Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated professional, well disciplined in all aspects of trusteeship and executorship, to join the team of professionals in our client’s Bermuda office.

Primary duties will include:
- Administer a portfolio of complex trusts
- Ensure compliance with in-house procedures and relevant legislation
- Training and mentoring other staff members

Requirements include:
- Membership of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners
- A minimum of 5 years of trust and estate administration experience including the use of purpose trusts, employee benefit trusts and private trust companies
- The ability to understand trust accounts and the issues arising from their preparation
- Knowledge of corporate and trust administration with specific working knowledge of the Companies Act and Private Trust Companies legislation
- Knowledge of UK taxes would be an asset
- Experience in ensuring compliance with procedures and legislation and minimizing of corporate risk
- The ability to lead and be part of a team of professionals
- The ability to deal effectively with clients, attorneys and colleagues, and to exercise discretion and confidentiality

Trust Officer

We are currently seeking an experienced Trust Officer on behalf of our client in beautiful Bermuda.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties including:

• Developing/maintaining effective client relationships
• Authorizing and committing the Trust Company on various transactions
• Ensure that all provisions, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
• Proactively contact clients to resolve any concerns
• Provide advice and support to other staff members and support team

Requirements:

• A Bachelors Degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience in Trust Administration
• Law, Accountancy, Investments or Banking experience would be an asset
• STEP designation or progress toward STEP designation
• Strong knowledge of banking principles and procedures
• Ability to understand/interpret trust deeds, wills, by-laws and other Company Legislations
• Proven ability with all aspects of employee management/development
• Excellent client service, interpersonal, communication, team, problem-solving, administrative and organization skills

Senior Trust Administrator

Our client, a medium-sized trust firm with an office in Bermuda, is seeking a qualified trust administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient administration of a number of trusts and companies, and will have a professional qualification (STEP, ISCA or recognised accountancy qualification).

Job Description:

Duties include:

• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws
• Dealing directly with clients and their advisors
• Reviewing financial statements
• Billing and fee collection

Requirements:

• 3 years’ experience of trust and company management
• Good knowledge of trust and company law
• Recognised trust/accountancy qualification (STEP, ICSA, ACA etc)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
