We are seeking a CA/ACA qualified Accountant to join the Group Finance department of a leading international investment company headquartered in Bermuda. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
- Perform financial accounting for a portion of the group investment portfolio, including venture capital investments and complex consolidations spread across a variety of group companies, partnerships and entities.
- Production of management information on the group’s proprietary investment portfolio.
- Assist with other group controlling activities as required.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of controls, systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely accounting and management reporting.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management and the Board.

Required experience and qualifications:
- Recognized professional accounting designation (ACA or CA)
- Experience with investment accounting, preferably within US GAAP.
- Experience in the preparation of financial statements, preferably under US GAAP.
- Prior experience interpreting legal agreements.
- Experience with investment performance calculations and presentation, including attribution analysis, is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational, analytical and interpretative skills.
- Ability to handle a diverse and varied workload, work on ad-hoc projects as required and to meet tight deadlines.
- Preference given to applicants with prior experience in an international multi-currency environment.

Responsibilities include:- Providing support to the business areas of Underwriting, Analysis and Actuarial
- Develop an in-depth understanding and document business requirements, work and process flows, translate them into requirements documents, functional specifications, test scenarios and plans
- Facilitate user meetings, design sessions and user testing

- Support project deployment activities, including product training and the writing of user documentation
