Butchers

A well known supermarket group in Bermuda has several job openings for butchers. All applicants should have a minimum of 5 years experience in the meat trade, particularly fresh meat including the ability to break down a full carcass and use a bandsaw. Preference will be given to those candidates who have a proven ability to prepare and display fresh meat with a strong emphasis on personal counter service. Knowledge of fresh fish and European cheeses along with a background in prepared and value added products would also be desirable.

Management Accountant

An international investment management company with an office in Bermuda is looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant. The successful applicant will reporting to the Financial Controller and will be primarily responsible for the monthly management accounts, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.

Job Description:

Duties include:

Account Executive

Our client is seeking to source account executives for its expanding captive management operations in Bermuda. The successful candidate will be assigned several captive insurance companies across a variety of industries. The successful candidate will be expected to perform the accounting duties for these companies including (but not restricted to):-

• Preparing management financial statements to deadline (monthly/quarterly).
• Prepare annual GAAP audited financial statements.
• Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities as appropriate.
• Perform and account for the accounting transactions required for each company.
• Communicate effectively with client staff.
• Prepare additional financial reports and engage in project work as requested by clients/senior management.

Requirements:

• An internationally recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Prior experience of insurance/reinsurance and/or risk management is preferred.
• Sound accounting technical knowledge and familiarity with the requirements of UK/US/Canadian GAAP and IFRS.
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with IT applications and specifically Microsoft Office.

Account Executive

Job Description:

The candidate will be required to manage, on a day-to-day basis, a portfolio of captive insurance companies. Key duties include:-

• Preparation of management financial statements on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
• Preparation of GAAP audited financial statements as required.
• Liaison with regulatory authorities and auditors as required.
• Possible attendance at board meetings of the parent companies of the captive insurance companies.
• An ability to work effectively in a team structure.

Requirements:

• A professional accounting designation (ie ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Prior experience of insurance, risk management or captive insurance would be an advantage.
• A high level of self-motivation.
• A familiarity with US, UK and IFRS GAAP would also be an advantage.

Operational Risk Manager

Job Description:

Our client is looking for an experienced Operational Risk Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying risks in the Bank’s processes and to recommend solutions to alleviate these risk areas. The candidate must be able to liaise with bank personnel of all levels. Key responsibilities are:-

Assistant Vice President

Financial Controller – Corporate Banking Division

Job Description:

The candidate will be expected to take a lead role in the financial planning activities, financial reporting, budgetary analysis, and other general research activities in the Retail and Corporate Banking Division of the company.

Core responsibilities include:-

• Planning for and preparing quarterly and annual financial forecasts.
• Performing a review of actual performance against forecasted on a monthly basis and providing corrective action proposals.
