Although the majority of retail jobs are filled by Bermudians, there are plenty of positions in stores for those with specialist experience. Some of the most common vacancies filled by expatriate workers include:
- Supermarket Store/Produce Managers – Responsible for purchasing, inventory control costing, staff training, and merchandising. Several years’ similar experience required.
- Pharmacists – Applicants must be licensed pharmacists and posses an internationally recognised pharmaceutical degree.
- Butchers – Nearly all butchers in Bermuda are expatriates, most from the UK. Qualified/experienced butchers will have little difficulty finding a position.
- Florists – Vacancies for qualified florists are relatively common.
Vacancies for IT sales professionals are also common.
