The event runs from 12 to 5 pm and includes an official welcome and singing of the national anthem at 1.30 pm and a children’s sandcastle competition at 3.30 pm. Other activities planned include volleyball, tug-of-war and limbo competitions. All are welcome.

The ‘Movies on the Beach’ event will run from August 17 to 20 and feature a different film each evening:

  • August 17: House of Flying Daggers
  • August 18: Nanny McPhee
  • August 19: Lightning in a Bottle
  • August 20: Moonstruck

All films start at 8.30 pm and admission is free. Parking will be available at Chaplin Bay.

The event is being presented by the Department of Tourism and supported by the Bermuda International Film Festival.
