Dee Storey is a Bermuda wedding photographer specializing in event coverage and creative portraiture. She attended Ringling College of Art & Design in Sarasota Florida from which she earned a degree in Fine Art, minor in photography. Soon after returning home to the island Ace Studios was born. Her interest in photography began years ago and has developed into an art form that blends a love for artistry with passion for photography.
Dee is honoured to be a participant in every wedding she photographs and treats the day and the people involved with the highest level of respect. Most of all weddings are a day filled with beauty and magic that emerges effortlessly. Dee believes her job is to capture that magic in the most authentic way – unobtrusively, honestly, joyfully.
How would you describe your style?
“I love the raw emotion of photojournalism and the seductive, mysterious look of fashion photography. I believe in romantic lighting, incredible backgrounds and choosing locations very carefully.
Some of my favourite locations on the island are Astwood Cove, Warwick Long Bay, Gibbons Gardens, Fort Hamilton, The Reefs, Pompano Beach Club, Fairmont Hamilton Princess, Pink Beach Club & Cottages, Cambridge Beaches, Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, Botanical Gardens, Elbow Beach, Southlands. While I regularly return to my old favourites there is nothing I like more than exploring somewhere new.
As far as the photojournalistic side – I never interrupt a moment. I never pose situations that are already so magical on their own. I am an observer most of the time with very limited intrusion only when it is desired to achieve a particular artistic vision. Ninety percent of my images are completely natural and un-posed.”
Ace Studios Photography represents the grace, distinction, and style that is possible in wedding photography. If you are looking for a photographer that can capture the full spirit of your fairytale event, please contact Dee.
