Experience the sights of the east of Bermuda by taking a cruise on the Ana Luna. Captain Nathan Worswick offers both private and scheduled cruises on the 45 foot luxury, French-built catamaran.
Amenities on-board include plenty of seating and places to sunbathe, a large dive and water sports platform, a bar, music system, and several bathrooms.
Snorkelling cruises are offered on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons throughout the summer visiting picturesque locations such as Flatts and Gibbet Island. While in the water you’ll typically see parrotfish, angelfish, groupers etc. If you’re lucky you may see a green sea turtle.
Another scheduled option is the sunset cruise around St George’s Island. Sights on the journey include Fort St Catherine, Tobacco Bay, Ferry Point Park, the Swing Bridge, and St George’s Harbour. Sunset cruises depart on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
They also offer a scheduled cruise for those wishing to see Bermuda’s fantastic glow worms. Every month, on the third night after full moon, at precisely 56 minutes after sunset, Bermuda glow worms put on a fantastic light show. The female glow worms rise to the surface and swim slowly in circles, releasing a green luminescent slime to attract the males. Male worms do their part by emitting short pulses of light as they approach the females. The whole show lasts little over 10 minutes but is well worth seeing.
Scheduled cruises run in the summer months (May to October) and depart from the dock at the Grotto Bay Beach Resort. The hotel is situated in Hamilton Parish, close to LF Wade International Airport, and is on bus routes 1, 3, 10, and 11 (Hamilton to St George).
The Ana Luna can also be booked for private charters. Half and full-day options are available. For pricing and further information visit the official Ana Luna Adventures website.
