To Have and To Hold Wedding & Event Planning, was founded by Yolanda P. Furbert, Dip EP (Inst.EP), CWP, ABC™. Yolanda is not only a certified Bridal Consultant, Wedding Planner, Event Manager and Meeting Planner, she is also a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants and Meeting Planners International (MPI). In March 2011 Yolanda also achieved the designation of Accredited Bridal Consultant, the first Accredited Consultant in Bermuda!
Yolanda has successfully planned a wedding so enormous, that Church Street, Hamilton, Bermuda was closed down. The wedding party including the bride and groom had 50 people and over 5,000 guests were in attendance. Her ability to multi-task and manage an event of this size evidences her ability to think globally while executing all the fine details. Considering this event in isolation can give credence to her skills, nevertheless, Yolanda not only successfully performed at this event, but also headed out the following day, to successfully coordinate another wedding and dinner party in the USA.
She has also planned conferences, for churches and business professionals, private dinners & functions as well as new product launches. Yolanda and her staff realize the importance of planning functions such as these and acknowledge the success of your event. The goal-orientated focus coupled with our organization’s commitment to excellence, will assure that this chief objective is achieved.
As each couple has different requests or requirements depending on their ideas and budget, the services are tailored specifically to your requests. We assist you with your budget, your choices regarding services for flowers, musicians, photography/video, ceremony site decorations, etc., are entirely up to you and we assist you with informed decisions and recommendations appropriate with access to Bermuda’s best wedding professionals.

We have been working with our vendors for many years; ministers, florists, caterers, musicians, photographers, videographers, accommodations, transportation, and restaurants. They are outstanding, trustworthy and provide a first class service to all our clients. When the most special and important day of a couple’s life is their wedding, we leave absolutely nothing to chance.
We always have a backup contingency plan in case of inclement weather, if marrying outdoors. Sudden last minute arrangements may have to be made in an instant, if the weather happens to become unexpectedly inclement. These are all important decisions that we will attend to, to enable you to have a smooth, stress free wedding. Here are some of the services we offer.
This service has been created for up to 6 people and includes the following but should you wish to have a reception or add to this service we are happy to assist with this as well. The following is included in this service:
- Notice of Intended Marriage
- Ceremony site permit (for public beach or park)
- Bride’s bouquet and groom’s boutonniere
- Photographer for 1 hour
- Transportation for 3 hours for up to 6 people
- Setup/breakdown/clean up
- Champagne toast
- Wedding planner
This is designed for the couple who have already booked the professionals they wish to work with and have all the pieces but would like to sit back and enjoy their wedding day as they have envisioned and to have a wedding consultant put all the pieces together and handle the smallest details and emergencies that may arise. For this service we work alongside the couple and sure that all their requirements are met.
This is for the busy couple interested in a larger event that prefer a professional consultant be involved in planning their wedding as they are not able to devote the time required. To Have and To Hold will assist you in selecting the ideal ceremony, cocktail and reception venues, recommending and securing professionals who excel in their field We have been working with our vendors for many years, ministers, florists, caterers, musicians, photographers, videographers, hotel, transportation, and restaurants to name a few.
