The original Triminghams store was established in 1842 at Waterville, the current home of the Bermuda National Trust. From these humble beginnings Triminghams has grown into Bermuda’s biggest department store.
Their range of merchandise has grown a bit since their early days when they used to serve boats docked in Hamilton Harbour. Perfumes and cosmetics include well-known brands such as Christian Dior, Chanel, Elizabeth Arden, Estee Lauder and Jean Paul Gautier. They have equally impressive ranges of china & crystal, ladies and menswear. Many of their products are priced well below US retail. Triminghams also stocks children’s clothing, jewellery and home furnishings.
Their various departments carry goods specially made for the Bermuda market. The jewellery department carries 14-karat gold charms depicting Bermudian icons such as tree frogs and moongates and the menswear department stocks Bermuda shorts made by Daks of London.
In addition to its flagship store on Front Street location there are numerous smaller branches dotted around the island.
