November marks the start of Bermuda’s low season. Most cruise ships visiting the island made their final voyages of the year in October. Airfares and hotel rates are now significantly cheaper.

Remembrance Day is the only public holiday in the month. A Remembrance Day Ceremony is held at the Cenotaph in Hamilton. Bermuda’s parliament reconvenes in November. On the first Friday of the month, the lawn outside the Cabinet Building is the setting for the Throne Speech, a ceremony where the governor reads the new policies of the government.
The major event in November is the World Rugby Classic, a rugby tournament for former international players. It’s held at the National Sports Centre in Devonshire Parish.
From November to March the Bermuda Department of Tourism and others organise numerous regular events to entertain off-season visitors. November falls at the end of Bermuda’s official hurricane season, though in recent years most hurricanes affecting the island have occurred in September or October.
